THE GENIUS THAT IS TIM BURTON

Tim Burton and his lady love Helena Bonham Carter.  These two were clearly made for each other.

 As we tend to do here at braxton and yancey we've swung the pendulum about as far from last weeks muse as we possible could have.  Anyone else have whip-lash?

If you are unfamiliar with Tim Burton, he is an American film director, producer, writer and artist.  If you are a movie buff at all, you've probably seen and loved at least one of his creations which include;  Beetle Juice, Bat Man and Bat Man Returns (very dark), Edward Scissorhands,  The Nightmare Before Christmas,  Sleepy Hollow (also quite dark), Big Fish (a personal favorite of ours), Corpse Bride (haunting and sweet), and Alice in Wonderland, just to name a few.  There was also a recent retrospective of his drawings at the MoMa which you can see on line.

Mr. Burton's work tends toward the Gothic with heavy doses of the fantastical and sweetness, which I imagine also describes his personality rather well.

Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter have been together for years, and although they have two children together, the don't live in the same house, but rather in adjoining houses.  Quirky, just like their fashion sense.

Posting may be light for the next few days because it's back to school week at our house, and by "school" I mean graduate school.  We will be taking our youngest daughter to catch the train for her next adventure - in Chicago.  Damn, I'm going to miss her.
