Yancey and I were
thrifting again - for Christmas this time - at our favorite shop, looking for vintage vinyl records and a record holder, some retro costume jewelry and other gifts for under the tree, when we bumped into a KILLER
Mid-Century Danish Modern table and chair set, with sideboard (aka console, buffet, credenza - depending on use).
Maybe Yancey will share the story and pictures soon...
Danish Modern furniture is a topic unto itself, but for starters, the antique store find got us both all
hot and bothered about consoles and danish modern. Here are some design muses I found. Hope you enjoy!

Danish Modern heaven! My wife and I are nuts for it! In our case, we have a lot of different stuff, some legit mid-century mod, and some of it faux-century mod. The challenge is always getting the random pieces we've found at thrift stores (and Ikea) to work together in our house. Ginny lives for that.
Cool. We SO enjoyed our vintage danish modern dining room and buffet for the holidays! We've got an eclectic mix of things in our house as well. We are getting into the idea of "thrifting up". That is, finding a gem at a thrift store and then trading in and trading up when we find another piece. We enjoy the treasure hunt! Brax.
