HOT PINK: {THINGS THAT PERHAPS SHOULDN'T BE...BUT ARE}

A few things which are shockingly hot pink....and it works! 

 It should be no surprise by now that I love hot pink!  So far this week, I've shown you interiors, shoes,  coats, even lips all in glorious hot sexy pink.  Today I want to show you a few things I've found which are unexpectedly vibrant, a few things which are painted, what I would call f*** YOU PINK! 

If you were a chicken, wouldn't you want to live in a hot pink coop?

You'd never have to remember your street address.

                 Hot Pink Hair

 A couple of years ago, I found myself sitting at my desk staring at my cup of neon highlighter pens, when I grabbed the hot pink one, ran upstairs to a mirror, and began to color the white streaks in my hair with the pen.  It worked, and it washed out with my next shampoo....whew!   Since then, I've streaked my hair, blue, green, orange, and my favorite a pink/orange combo, all with a highlighter pen...each one washed out easily!  (Just a little tip for all my silver sisters out there)

I love that she matched her lips to her hair...nice.

Are her eyes even real?  I'm afraid to look at them for too long.

 The final thing that is hot pink but probably shouldn't be.....a hot pink poodle!

Random:  Any vegetarians out there looking for a main dish that feeds a crowd...the sweet potato enchiladas on the cover of the latest Vegetarian Times is divine!  Can't wait to eat the leftovers tonight.

Hot pink dresses

 If you happen to be a colorphobe and looking for ways to dip your toe into the crayon box, I have three ideas...start with a dress, coat, or shoes in a kick ass color, such as hot pink.   A dress because you're already feeling festive and feminine, a coat because you'll wear it everyday in cold weather, plus it's usually closest to your face where you really need some color, or shoes because they are a great way to add a small touch of color to an otherwise neutral outfit.

I absolutely love a shirt dress, which is flattering to almost any figure.  The only thing better than a shirt dress?....a hot pink shirt dress!

Imagine brightening up a grey winters day with a hot pink overcoat.  Everyone will smile at you and you know it's more flattering than that boring black one you almost bought.

I love the idea of a bride in hot pink shoes.....why oh why didn't I think of that?

Intense, romantic and modern, hot pink will always make you and your guests look good and feel energized, making it the perfect color for the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen or any room in your house.  
Sexy bold hot pink has a thoroughly modern sensibility....and you know how much I love that!

I actually have a hot pink and black bathroom...which I love....even though Braxton thinks the color is a little too "Pepto Bismol".

Bold stripes in a bold color....count me in.

When I saw this, I realized how unusual it is to see mirrored furniture mixed with bold wall color.  Love this.

Personally, I think the brown floor and cabinets must go....otherwise it's very nice.

This just says happy to me!

Love the super shiny surfaces.

I would smile and dance and sing in this room.....although again, I really don't like the choice of flooring.

For all you traditionalists out there....consider painting your cabinets hot pink.

I think this may be my favorite picture of the day....oh joy, oh bliss.
