THE WOMEN OF JAMES BOND
Obviously the Bond series would be nothing without the ladies. Once Hollywood got a hold of 007, he was portrayed as a sexy, worldly, martini drinking sex god, who always got the girl in the end. How many bond movies can you name where the ending scene is NOT James in bed with a bountiful babe? There have not been many.
As manly as James Bond is...his women are equally womanly...something for everyone.
Now, just because he's so damn sexy...a few pics of James with his ladies.
The ultimate Bond Girl...Miss Moneypenny.
Jane Moneypenny, who seems to understand JB better than anyone, is the private secretary to "M", who is James's boss. As if there were not already enough sexual tension in these movies, Ms. Moneypenny clearly harbors romantic feeling for James, and it sometimes appears that the feeling is mutual.
I love that the character of Moneypenny, with her pussycat bow blouses and generally conservative attire, captures James's attention in a way no other woman really does. One could obviously say that James is just manipulating her, but I like to think he actually respects her, not that he wouldn't pass up the chance to curl her toes if he could, he does have a reputation to uphold, after all.
"Flattery will get you nowhere, but don't stop trying" Miss Moneypenny
"I always enjoy learning a new tongue" (while in bed with his Scandinavian language tutor)
"Miss Anders I didn't recognize you without your clothes on"
"I'll finish dressing"
"Oh please, don't, not on my account"
Bond: "Who are you?"
Pussy: "My name is Pussy Galore"
Bond: "I must be dreaming"
Tiger: "Rule #2, in Japan, man comes first, women comes second"
Bond: "I just might retire here"
Honey Ryder: "Looking for shells?"
Bond: "No, just looking"
Tanya:" The mechanism is...Oh James, will you make love to me all the time in England?"
Bond: "Day and night. Go on about the mechanism"
Tanya: "I think my mouth is too big!"
Bond: "It's just the right size...for me that is"
Every wanted to be a bond girl? Me too.
Have a beautiful day.

A scene from Goldfinger...I don't know how they did this without killing her...seriously, your skin needs to breath...don't try this at home. |

Ursula Andress in Dr. No., consistently voted the favorite Bond girl. Who is your favorite? |

Claudia Auger in Thunderball. |

Halle Berry in Die Another Day. Halle wore a bathing suit almost identical to the one worn by Ursula Andress in Dr. No. |

Honor Blackman in Goldfinger. |

Jane Seymore in Live and let die. |

JAMES BOND INTERIORS
Just a quickie. Super busy day. I found these pics of interiors of two Bond Movies...of course one would expect James to live in a lush sexy apartment. Every time Braxton and I throw around ideas for a James Bond movie set, you know like people do, we always land on something dark and mysterious, sexy, tactile, with great lighting...a place where we would want to live ourselves.
The following pics are of Elrod House designed by James Lautner, which can be seen as the Nemesis's house in Die Another Day. Obviously it didn't look exactly like this in the move, but still...Oh James! Enjoy!
Have a beautiful day.

BOND, JAMES BOND
I definitely remember my first Bond movie, who doesn't? It's a right of passage. I was probably in Jr. High School, it starred Roger Moore, and I don't remember the name of the movie, but I do remember this....my father laughed so hard I seriously thought he would choke...or worse. I was slightly embarrassed (Jr. High, remember) but also charmed that a grown man could be so taken in by a movie, I had never seen him so down right giddy thanks to a silly bit of Hollywood entertainment...and I've love James Bond ever since.
James Bond means different things to different people, depending on which movie in the franchise was their first. There have been seven J.B.'s over the span of 46 years and 22 films. Everyone has a favorite Bond, the Bond of their childhood, usually.
Even though my first time was with Roger Moore, he was never my favorite...my favorite Bond has to be Pierce Brosnan, in fact I think Mr. B. could still play bond today. When Daniel Craig makes his final Bond movie, and he probably already has, I think Hollywood would be wise to consider bringing back Pierce B., after all they brought back Sean Connery, right? If Pierce Brosnan is considered too old for the role, I vote for Clive Owen as the next 007.
Who's your favorite Bond? Who would you like to see replace Daniel Craig?
"When I wrote the first one in 1953, I wanted Bond to be an extremely dull, uninteresting man to whom things happen. I wanted him to be a blunt instrument...when I was casting around for a name for my protagonist I thought by God, James Bond is the dullest name I've ever heard" Ian Fleming 1962
Can you name all the actors who have played 007?
Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Sean Connery (again), Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig.
James Bond is the longest running and second highest grossing film franchise of all time.
Join me this week for some campy sexy fun as we explore James Bond as muse...how could this week not be fun?
Have a beautiful day.

There is so much to like about Daniel Craig...I really appreciate his athleticism, he moves like a dancer...but I really don't think James Bond would pout! Why is this man always pouting? |

Oh yeah. |
![]() |
I think Roger Moore's Bond was the the most tongue in cheek, cute and silly but not exactly sexy. |

I believe that Daniel Craig was the only Bond to believably fall in love...and actually cry. |

Let's talk about the fantastic interiors of the Bond movies...there were some doozies, especially in the Sean Connery era. |

Let's talk about the Bond Girls...this being perhaps the most famous...Ursula Andress as Honey Ryder. Raise your hand if you remember any of the other silly names for the Bond Girls. We'll talk. |

Yes, at least one Bond had a round bed...and plenty of manly chest hair! |
